Detecting Leaks
Simple leak detection:- Pool level will not stay constant
- Larger than typical water bills; with auto fill on your pool the
water level is always constant. Turn off water to auto fill; see if pool level goes down.
- Increase in the need for pool chemicals
- Check for cracks in decking
- Check skimmers for cracks
- Has the light nitch been sealed?
- Water standing on exterior of pool
Possible symptoms of leaks:
- Air bubbles in the pump can be a possible source of a leak in the skimmers and main drain lines
- Leaks from pump seals & gaskets
will cause air bubbles
- Air bubbles
coming out of return lines

and Swimming Pool Service:
- Check all pool equipment for leaks
- Pressure check the skimmers
- Pressure check the returns
- Pressure check the pool sweep line
- Pressure check the main drain depending on water temperature
- Dye test the light
- Check
for cracked and missing tiles
- Helium
injection, if needed to locate leak in possible cracked pipes
